Our client is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to support multiple application teams with technical analysis, requirements definition, legacy system evaluation, and modernization planning. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with systems analysis, Microsoft-based applications, documentation, and SDLC processes. This role involves analyzing business and system workflows, supporting application rationalization, defining requirements, coordinating with development teams, and ensuring that change management and deployment processes are fully supported across both cloud-based and in-house applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed analysis and documentation of system interactions, workflows, and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with Application Development teams to design and support implementation of technical solutions.
- Analyze business processes and identify information flows, decision points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support application rationalization efforts and evaluate legacy systems to assist modernization initiatives.
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements gathering, system design, integration, testing, and deployment coordination.
- Define, document, and maintain system interfaces for internal, external, manual, and automated processes.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including requirements, specifications, workflows, and data dictionaries.
- Coordinate change management and deployment activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for automation and contribute to prototyping and solution validation.
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, vendors, and development teams to ensure alignment.
- Support both cloud-hosted and on-premises application environments across various project teams.
- 5 years of experience in systems analysis, application support, or related technology roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Communications, Information Systems, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Demonstrated experience eliciting and documenting requirements using techniques such as user story writing, story mapping, and impact mapping.
- Experience writing and executing test plans with strong focus on quality and detailed validation.
- Ability to write queries and analyze data (SQL experience preferred).
- Experience developing procurement artifacts, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC phases.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and effective documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment and maintain strong working relationships.
