Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automated cloud infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab, incorporating deployment strategies such as Blue/Green or Canary.
- Collaborate with cloud architects and application teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments across all SDLC environments.
- Support cloud migration efforts, greenfield deployments, and platform enhancements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, operating system, and application environment issues.
- Implement infrastructure changes through enterprise change management processes.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency through automation and monitoring.
- Maintain and improve source code repositories, branching strategies, and automation frameworks.
- Develop and update technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, audit requirements, and operational best practices.
- Mentor team members on cloud technologies, automation tools, and DevOps methodologies.
- Participate in evaluating emerging cloud services and automation technologies.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of hands-on cloud or infrastructure engineering experience.
- Proven experience designing, migrating, and supporting applications in AWS, including AWS GovCloud.
- 4 years of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) experience.
- 3 years of CI/CD pipeline development using GitLab or similar platforms.
- 2 years scripting experience with Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Strong understanding of Git-based source control and branching strategies.
- Experience with AWS services such as VPC, EC2, IAM, Config, GuardDuty, Inspector, and related networking/security services.
- Knowledge of application and infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools.
- Familiarity with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
- Experience with automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of SLAs, SLOs, SLIs, and non-functional requirements.
- Proven ability to lead complex initiatives or mentor junior engineers.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification.
- Experience supporting highly regulated or enterprise-scale cloud environments.
