Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the day-to-day operations and logistics of accessibility-related projects aligned with rural health transformation and disability programs.
- Support and lead advisory group meetings and cross-functional convenings to promote stakeholder collaboration.
- Develop communications and outreach materials for accessibility projects, rural health initiatives, and health system plans.
- Manage community engagement efforts, track stakeholder feedback, and ensure follow-up to promote inclusive participation.
- Organize and document stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring accessibility and meaningful involvement of people with disabilities.
- Lead administrative functions such as invoicing, progress reporting, meeting scheduling, and note-taking to support project execution.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, dashboards, and other materials to communicate project progress and outcomes.
- Align project objectives with statewide health transformation plans and strategic roadmaps.
- Serve as a central communication point to maintain momentum and shared ownership across statewide accessibility efforts.
- Maintain documentation systems, tracking tools, and project management infrastructure to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Thorough understanding of rural community engagement best practices and experience working with individuals with lived experience in partnership roles.
- Excellent organizational, writing, public speaking, presentation, facilitation, research, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep knowledge of key stakeholders in health system disability communities, including state agencies, healthcare providers, community organizations, and advocates.
- Understanding of factors limiting access to health services and their impact on health outcomes for rural Rhode Islanders with disabilities.
- Knowledge of health program implementation principles, including policy, planning, research, data analytics, and stakeholder engagement.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Law, Health Policy, Public Policy, Human Services, Social Work, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with community engagement for health policy, disability policy, or public health initiatives.
- Familiarity with health and human services programs and policy development.
- Prior experience in project coordination within government or nonprofit sectors related to rural health or disability services.
