Seeking a Project Manager to lead rural health accessibility initiatives within a dynamic health system environment. This role involves coordinating cross-agency efforts, managing stakeholder engagement, and translating strategic health policy goals into actionable programs focused on improving health access for individuals with disabilities. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement project plans to improve accessibility of rural health care services for individuals with disabilities.
- Coordinate cross-agency collaboration among state departments, community partners, and providers to support integrated implementation efforts.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement activities, including public-private workgroups and community convenings, ensuring meaningful participation of people with disabilities and lived experience.
- Lead vendor management, oversee contracts, monitor deliverables, and support procurement processes related to accessibility projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed project workplans, timelines, and schedules to track progress and ensure accountability.
- Identify operational barriers and system gaps, working collaboratively with partners to develop solutions and advance project goals.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate project status, outcomes, and strategic priorities to leadership and stakeholders.
- Support data collection, project evaluation, and continuous quality improvement activities to enhance program effectiveness.
- Serve as a central communication point to sustain momentum, alignment, and shared ownership across statewide accessibility initiatives.
- Specialized project management training, including Agile methods, facilitation skills, and cross-functional management.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in stakeholder engagement.
- Significant knowledge of health system and disability communities, including state agencies, healthcare providers, and advocacy organizations.
- Deep understanding of factors limiting health access and health outcomes for rural populations with disabilities.
- Knowledge of health program implementation, evaluation, policy, and data analytics.
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Law, Health Policy, or a related field.
- Experience managing complex multi-agency projects, navigating multi-system environments, and overseeing large budgets.
- Experience with ADA and Olmstead compliance.
- Proven track record in addressing socio-economic and environmental determinants of health.
- Experience working with Medicaid, housing, behavioral health, transportation, or education sectors.
- Prior experience in public health or health policy at the state level.
- Familiarity with project management tools and systems supporting transparency and accountability.
