We are seeking an experienced Interim Executive Director to provide operational leadership and stability for a 200 senior living community (Assisted Living and Independent Living) during a transitional period. This individual will oversee the day-to-day operations of the community while partnering closely with department leaders to ensure strong resident satisfaction, regulatory compliance, team performance, and financial oversight.

Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and operational oversight for the senior living community
- Lead and support department heads across operations, nursing, dining, activities, maintenance, sales, and resident services
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and company regulations and policies
- Drive resident satisfaction, quality of care, and positive community culture
- Manage staffing, employee engagement, accountability, and performance expectations
- Monitor occupancy, budgeting, financial performance, and operational KPIs
- Partner with regional leadership to execute strategic initiatives and operational priorities
- Support census growth and resident retention efforts alongside the sales and marketing team
- Address resident, family, and employee concerns with professionalism and urgency
- Maintain readiness for surveys, audits, and inspections
- Provide leadership continuity during organizational transition or permanent leadership recruitment
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Executive Director, Administrator, or Regional leader within Senior Living, Assisted Living, Independent Living, Memory Care, or Skilled Nursing
- Strong operational leadership and team management experience
- Proven ability to lead through transition, turnaround, growth, or organizational change
- Knowledge of senior living regulations, compliance standards, and resident care operations
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting, labor management, and occupancy performance
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to quickly assess operational needs and implement effective solutions
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- State licensure or certification as required by local regulations
Salary : $180,000 - $200,000
