The Catering Associate is responsible for the overall execution of daily catering responsibilities, ensuring quality and timeliness of deliveries to our Guests. As a Catering Associate, you’re knowledgeable of la Madeleine’s expectations and standards for Guest service, quality, and sanitation, and you help market la Madeleine’s delivery business while executing both home and business deliveries.

What You’ll Do
Order Fulfillment & Delivery
- Manage the catering order process and ensure every order is accurate.
- Deliver orders to residential and commercial Guests using a personal and/or company vehicle.
- Collect all order payments by following la Madeleine's Cash Handling Guidelines and ensure accuracy of transactions.
- Clean and maintain catering equipment, vehicle, and serving utensils.
Guest Service & Brand Representation
- Act as a Brand Ambassador for la Madeleine—always professional, positive, and courteous with Guests.
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items (permanent and seasonal), with the ability to describe products to Guests and suggestively sell.
- Resolve guest complaints and alert Management staff to any elevated Guest concerns.
- Assist with non-catering assignments as necessary and perform other duties as requested.

Requirements
- Legally authorized to operate a personal and/or company vehicle.
- Licensed within the state of the bakery location.
- Proof of current coverage and ability to maintain a vehicle liability insurance policy.
- Driving history reflecting no pattern of accidents or traffic violations.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older with at least 1 year of driving experience.
- Able to pass recipe and food quality tests as required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move for up to 6 hours at a time with frequent bending and lifting.
- Lifts and carries up to 25 lbs. multiple times per shift.
- Be able to acknowledge hazards such as hot food containers, uneven surfaces, and traffic while making deliveries.
- Be able to hear and verbally communicate with Managers, Associates, and Guests.
