What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Youth Programs Team Member position at Delaware Valley University?
Work on our Youth Programs camp team this summer 2025 at Delaware Valley University. We are currently looking for high energy individuals who want to usher in the fun. Youth Programs Team Members will support the instructors in specialty areas like: Animal Science, Recreation, Theatre, Technology, Lego, Robotics, Friendship Making, Life and Environmental Sciences, Digital Media, Arts, Physical Sciences, Chemistry, K’nex Physics, Drones, Applied Engineering, Literature, Business, Math, Coding, App and Game Design…and more.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Instructional Specialist with classroom instruction during a one week program in your area of specialization or interest, assisting in the supervision and care of children, serving as the ambassador of fun, classroom management, behavior management, actively engaging with program participants, and assisting program participants with daily needs, campus travel, lunch, and health concerns. Work for one, two, three or up to eight weeks depending on your availability.
This position requires applicants to be at least 18 years of age with 2 years of direct experience working with children. Additional experience includes knowledge or interest in an area of specialization, high energy, enthusiasm, and excellent communication skills. Experience working with children or teens in the fields of education, coaching, specialty area, camp, childcare, social work, or psychology preferred.
Selected applicants will be responsible for providing the University with clearances, appropriate to the position, that have been completed within the last 5 years. These clearances will include but are not limited to: Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, the Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Certification, and the FBI Criminal Background Check completed by IDENTGO.
