What are the responsibilities and job description for the TECHNICAL WRITER position at DELAWARE RESOURCE GROUP OF OKLAHOMA?
As a Technical Writer, you will be fulfilling a support position that intersects with three different departments within the organization: Proposals, Contracts, and Program Management. Due to the highly collaborative nature of this position, the Technical Writer will need to have both the soft skills and hard skills needed to fulfill the day-to-day tasks of this position.
essential duties of the position
- Analyze requests for proposal (RFPs) and attend strategy meetings
- Build outlines and compliance matrices, develop and maintain individual writing schedules
- Create and maintain MS Office Excel spreadsheets and other information gathering and maintenance tools
- Update and maintain boilerplate write-ups for technical content and Past Performance historical data
- Operate and thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Assist Capture and Proposals Manager and Proposal Coordinators in development of multiple, concurrent proposal projects
- Assist Capture and Proposals Manager, Proposal Coordinators and Technical Editors to ensure all RFP format specifications have been followed and meet all proposal deadlines
- Assist the Proposal Coordinators with cross-department coordination at various stages in the proposal/execution process
- Perform copy editing and document formatting as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Education/English/Journalism/Communications or similar, 2 or more years of relevant work experience performing comparable tasks to the ones described in this job posting
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Must possess strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Strong organizational presentations and communication skills required
- Knowledge of the Federal Procurement Process a plus
- Familiarity with the Shipley Proposal Method a plus
- SharePoint collaboration experience
