What will you do?
- Trains and supervises catering servers and attendants and observes and documents job performance.
- Ensures catering servers and attendants properly prepare catered special events for guests, conducts walk-through to check for any issues.
- Communicates and collaborates with members of the catering team (management, coordinators, servers, and attendants) clearly and constructively.
- Ensures all food presentations and displays meet company standards.
- Ensures responsible alcohol service and reports any violations.
- Maintains high standards of friendly guest service with our internal guests (i.e. staff/co-workers) and external guests (i.e. clients) and by circulating in assigned sections and greeting guests.
- Resolves guest complaints, with the assistance of the department managers.
- Ensures that all workstations, pantries, and storerooms remain clean and sufficiently stocked; ensures replacement stock is ordered.
- Ensures all sanitation practices are used and Department of Health guidelines are followed; reports safety hazards and repairs items.
- Assists with setup and tear-down of all catered functions.
- Completes closing duties according to company procedures.
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned by management.

More about you
- Minimum of one year experience in service industry required.
- Previous experience in banquets or other food service environment preferred.
- Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and courteously in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to direct the work activities of several employees simultaneously and plan ahead.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with staff and guests, and prepare written reports.
- Good leadership and training skills; ability to teach others as well as delegate tasks.
- Basic math skills; ability to accurately account for cash and inventory.
Physical requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for set-up, service and clean-up of functions.
- Ability to stand or walk for entire length of shift; may include walking up and down stairs.
- Variable temperatures – required to move between hot, noisy conditions of kitchen and climate-controlled dining environment.
