Program Overview
Our Homecare Agency Internship Program gives students hands-on exposure to client care coordination, public homecare initiatives, and community outreach. This program is ideal for students pursuing public health, social work, nursing, or homecare administration.
In the Office:
Assist with scheduling and client-caregiver matching.
Support case managers and observe coordination of care.
Maintain client records and assist with compliance.
Collect and analyze client satisfaction surveys.
In the Community:
Participate in health fairs, YMCA/community events, and outreach programs.
Shadow caregiver visits (HIPAA-permitting).
Conduct follow-up calls and surveys.
Distribute wellness resources and connect with local partners.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the program, interns will:
Understand how a homecare agency operates.
Gain knowledge of public homecare challenges in aging communities.

Qualifications:Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a degree program in Public Health, Social Work, Nursing, Health Administration, or a related field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated interest in community health and homecare services
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
Basic computer proficiency (Google Workspace)
Prior volunteer or caregiving experience (preferred but not required)
