We’re looking for a seasoned HR Generalist to join our growing team in Kansas City. Serve as the primary HR point of contact for the Kansas City office. Our HR Generlist will provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and compliance
This is a high-impact role which will serve as backup two existing HR professionals (Payroll and Benefits) and serving as a key partner to the HR Manager based in Chicago. The ideal candidate brings broad HR expertise, thrives in a collaborative environment, and will be ready to step into a leading role over time, whether it is functional or managerial, depending on the needs of the business and our team.

About The Role

What You’ll Do
- Partner with HR Management on policy development, training, and organizational initiatives
- Support our various business units on HR processes and ensure compliance with organizational policies
- Lead or support HR projects related to engagement and process improvement
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Maintain and improve HRIS data integrity and reporting
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, including generalist responsibilities including Benefits, Payroll
- Understanding of employment law and HR best practices
- Experience supporting or managing payroll and benefits functions
- Proven ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage through ambiguity and stay organized amidst
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across locations
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
- Ability to travel 1-2 times per month. Potential for global travel if interested.
