Job Description Summary
Under the general direction of the Continuing Education Director, the Program Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing all career training Continuing Education programs. These programs include all health care and business and industry related courses offered to the general public.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree.
Five (5) years’ experience working in a college, university, governmental, non-profit, corporate, or business setting.
OR
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Three (3) years’ experience working in a college, university, governmental, non-profit, corporate, or business setting.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel computer software applications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to develop courses, coordinate curriculum, assemble materials and provide health care and business and industry related courses to the general public.
Preferred Qualifications
Program coordination experience in education, training, student services, or other appropriate area.
Supervisory experience.
Experience in higher education.

Promotes health care programs and opportunities via news outlets, social media and institutions, organizations and agencies within the community.
Job Duty
Generates and monitors the budget for health care programs.
Job Duty
Provides assistance to individuals, other College staff and the community regarding health care training programs, activities and services.
Job Duty
Attends training sessions, staff, division and departmental meetings.
Job Duty
Assists the Director and Assistant Director with special projects or activities as delegated and other duties as assigned within the division.
Job Duty
Works with College Relations for the layout and design of marketing and promotional materials.
