About the Role:
As a Play Team Member, you will be an essential part of creating a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment for children and families. Your primary goal is to facilitate play experiences that promote creativity, learning, and social interaction. You will work closely with team members to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming play area that meets all safety standards. This role requires a proactive approach to customer service, ensuring that every visitor feels valued and supported during their visit. Ultimately, your contributions will help foster a positive community space where children can explore and grow through play.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Basic knowledge of child safety and first aid procedures.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move actively for extended periods during shifts.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in educational, recreational, or childcare settings.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Previous experience in a customer service or team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with children during play activities to ensure safety and encourage positive interactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the play area, including sanitizing toys and equipment regularly.
- Assist visitors by providing information about play programs, schedules, and facility rules.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and implement creative play sessions and special events.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any safety concerns or incidents, following established protocols.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to eight (8) hours at a time
- Must be able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform the following tasks: walk, squat, bend, stoop, stand, listen, read, and write
