Custodial Worker – Second Shift
The Board of Commissioners of Defiance County, Ohio, is accepting applications for the position of Second Shift Custodial Worker. This position is a full-time position; Monday – Thursday 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Full-time employees are entitled to paid holidays, eligible for County health insurance, and earn vacation time. All County employees are participants in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).
The primary objective of this position, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, is to perform routine cleaning of County facilities. Other duties include, but not limited to, grounds maintenance (mowing, trimming, light landscaping), snow removal, and painting. Must be able to use equipment to accomplish the above duties and lift up to 25 pounds regularly, occasionally more as requested and be able to apply force to move objects. Must have possession of a valid Ohio driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Starting pay is $16.50 per hour.
