Position Summary
Defense Holdings, Inc. (DHi) is seeking a Hybrid Bookkeeping Staff Accountant to maintain accounting records, reconcile accounts, and support team accounting activities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced with bookkeeping and financial reporting.
This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate with team members effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Accounts Processing
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records across multiple accounts.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare financial entries and adjustments as needed.
Compliance & Reporting
- Assist in preparing financial reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Support audits and financial reporting processes.
Cross-Department Coordination
- Collaborate with finance, billing, and operations teams.
- Ensure bookkeeping procedures align with company policies and industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in government contracting or defense-related accounting.
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting platforms.
