Piasecki has developed and flown more than 25 different advanced VTOL and UAV aircraft and continues to develop cutting-edge vertical flight technologies.
SUMMARY:
The Piasecki Aircraft Corporation Staff Accountant supports the Accounting Department by assisting with various accounting tasks, including data entry, account reconciliations, invoices, and financial reporting. This role is ideal for an early-career professional seeking to develop their accounting skills in a government contracting environment. This job is an on-site position at both company locations (Coatesville and Essington). Flexibility is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and perform data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Knowledge of cost accounting, direct and indirect project costing.
- Assist the controller in the preparation of financial documents for audits, compliance reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with government contracting accounting software (Deltek, Procas, etc.) is required. This is a non-negotiable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with BI reports.
- Familiarity with government contracting invoicing and GL management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / CLEARANCES:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
- 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, specifically with GL and invoicing responsibilities.
- Working towards CPA certification is a plus.
Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
