Job Summary:
The Personal Care Attendant (PCA) provides essential non-medical personal care and supportive services to clients in their homes. This role assists with daily living activities and supports the Personal Care (PC) department with administrative and operational functions. The PCA ensures compassionate care delivery while following agency policies and promoting client dignity, safety, and well-being.
Essential Job Functions:

Provide personal care services to clients not requiring Advanced Personal Care.

Conduct "Meet and Greet" visits to introduce attendants to clients.

Assist with organizing, filing, and maintaining client charts.

Help obtain documentation needed for accurate timekeeping and billing records.

Dispatch and relay messages to Personal Care staff efficiently.

Contact clients to conduct quarterly "Customer Satisfaction" surveys.

Provide support to the Personal Care department as needed.

Understand and follow all agency policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Perform hands-on personal care tasks, including bathing and grooming, as assigned.

Accurately complete visit documentation in a timely manner per agency policy.

Report any changes in client condition or needs promptly to Risk Managers.

Perform basic household duties essential to maintaining a clean and safe home environment.

Attend required in-service training and continuing education programs.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Must have a personal vehicle

High School Diploma or equivalent

Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with coordinators and staff

Maintain current CPR AND First Aid certification

Must be registered on the Family Care Safety Registry
