As a DEC Fire and Water Restoration Sales Representative, you are the first point of contact during a property crisis. You’ll be responsible for meeting homeowners on-site, assessing the damage, and providing the expert guidance needed to start the restoration process. You aren't just selling a service; you’re selling peace of mind and a path back to normalcy.
What You’ll Do
- Rapid Response & Consultation: Meet with homeowners at their property to assess water, fire, smoke, or mold damage.
- Damage Assessment: Utilize moisture meters, thermal imaging, and industry expertise to identify the full scope of the loss.
- Scope of Work: Write detailed, accurate estimates and scopes of work
- Insurance Liaison: Act as the bridge between the homeowner and their insurance adjuster to ensures claims are handled accurately and fairly.
- Project Kickoff: Transition the "sold" project to the production team, ensuring a seamless handoff for the homeowners.
What We’re Looking For
- The "Empathy Factor": You can handle high-stress situations with a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor.
- Sales Grit: A proven track record of closing deals and hitting targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfort using estimation software and a solid understanding of residential/commercial construction.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to advocate for the scope of work with insurance adjusters.
- Flexibility: Damage doesn't always happen between 9 and 5. A willingness to participate in an "on-call" rotation is required.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record (Company vehicle provided).
- Strong communication and digital literacy (iPad/Laptop proficiency).
- IICRC Certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT) are a huge bonus but not required for the right candidate.
