Overview
Dearborn Inc., a highly specialized manufacturing company located in Berea, OH, is seeking an experienced Machine Shop Foreman to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing area. This role ensures all production is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
As a key leader, the Machine Shop Foreman will coordinate with managers, machinists, engineers, and other staff to manage workflow, maintain equipment, and drive process improvements that support both productivity and quality. This position requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, along with the ability to motivate and mentor staff while upholding safety and production standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily production activities and ensure schedules are met
· Collaborate across departments to meet manufacturing needs
- Advise on operational improvements, cross-training, and promotions
- Oversee equipment maintenance and safe work practices
- Uphold Dearborn’s corporate goals by maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency
Qualifications
- 10 years of machining experience
- 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a machining/manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Understanding of CNC programming languages (G & M codes) and editing at the machine
- Experience with CNC programming software for lathes and milling machines
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and positively motivate a team
- Strong time management, prioritization, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
