Job Title: General Shop Helper – Precision CNC Machine Shop

Location: Jerpbak Bayless Company, Solon, Ohio

Job Type: Full-Time. 6:00am to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Shop Helper to support daily operations in a precision CNC machining environment. This role is critical in maintaining part quality standards and ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deburr and polish machined components to meet tight tolerance and finish requirements

- Inspect parts visually for burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections

- Clean CNC machines, tooling, and work areas regularly

- Sweep floors and maintain overall shop cleanliness and organization

- Assist machinists and operators with basic support tasks as needed

- Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications:

- Prior experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred but not required

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Ability to use basic hand tools (files, deburring tools, abrasive pads, etc.)

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 lbs

- Blueprint reading experience

- Dependable with a strong work ethic

Preferred Skills:

- Familiarity with deburring techniques for metal components

- Experience working around CNC mills and lathes

- Understanding of basic shop safety practices
