Dean's Professional Services is hiring a Registered Dietitian I for a healthcare facility in Tarboro, NC. This role suits a newly credentialed or early-career RD who wants hands-on clinical nutrition experience in a patient-facing setting, with a clear path from temporary to permanent.
Responsibilities
- Conduct basic nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans
- Provide medical nutrition therapy in accordance with established standards of care and facility policies
- Monitor and evaluate patient and resident nutritional status and adjust care plans as needed
- Document nutrition assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient-centered care
- Educate patients, residents, and caregivers on nutrition-related topics
- Support implementation of nutrition services that contribute to operational efficiency
- Adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards
- Assist with quality improvement initiatives and performance measures related to nutrition services
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Entry-level to limited clinical experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic nutrition care processes and documentation standards
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
