A long-established specialty sheet metal fabricator based in Southern California that designs, fabricates, and installs pneumatic scrap conveying, dust collection, pollution control, and industrial ventilation systems.
The business has been operating for decades, maintains a large and loyal active customer base.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Manager to own job execution and customer-facing sales activity under a new ownership group. This person will sit at the center of the business, coordinating between the shop, field crews, and customers while also developing new business within the existing customer base and adjacent markets. Ownership will be actively involved and this person will work closely with them.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage multiple active projects simultaneously from contract handoff through final installation
- Coordinate fabrication schedules with the shop and installation timelines with field crews
- Track job costs, flag budget variances, and work with estimating to sharpen accuracy over time
- Own customer relationships throughout project execution and leverage them to drive repeat business and wallet share expansion
- Identify and pursue new customers within the same industrial and packaging markets
- Work closely with ownership on project reporting, pipeline visibility, and growth planning
Ideal Candidate
- 5 to 10 years in project management within sheet metal fabrication and/or industrial ductwork
- Able to read fabrication drawings and understand how custom engineered systems are built and installed
- Comfortable owning customer relationships end to end, from first conversation through closeout
- Enough commercial instinct to identify growth opportunities and follow through on them
- Organized and detail-oriented with experience using scheduling or job management tools
- Comfortable in a small company environment where the role is broad and the pace is fast
Compensation
Competitive base salary and performance bonus.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
