Feed Mill Maintenance

*Job Summary*

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the overall condition of our facilities and equipment. We manufacture livestock feed for sale to the public. Our facility is an old timber frame mill building with 5 upper floors and a basement. We currently operate a wide variety of feed manufacturing equipment including: hammer mills, roller mills, pellet mills, ribbon mixers, screw conveyors, bucket elevators, and many more. Candidate must be self-motivated and willing to work extended hours when necessary. Plenty of opportunities for overtime are available. Work is mostly completed inside, but some equipment is outside. Working environment can be hot, cold, dusty, and wet. Sometimes all at the same time. Repair equipment is provided by the company. A good applicant must have experience in welding, metal fabrication, electrical, and industrial maintenance. *Duties*

- Perform routine maintenance tasks on all plant equipment such as: grease bearings, change belts, chains, pulleys, sprockets, gearboxes

- Maintain and repair grain/feed handling equipment

- Conduct inspections to identify issues before they become a problem

- Complete emergency repairs quickly and effectively when they arise

- Remove old equipment from plant and replace with new/rebuilt components

- Basic troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems

- Organize and manage parts inventory.

-Maintain a clean and organized working environment.

- Fabricate replacement steel parts such as motor supports, belt and chain guards, feed spout transitions etc.

- Utilize CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities

*Job Requirements*

- Perform heavy lifting tasks

- Ability to comfortably climb ladders and work at elevated heights

- Welding/Cutting

- Oxy/acetalyne torch

*Experience*

- Feed mill maintenance experience preferred, but general industrial maintenance experience required

- Metal fabrication experience preferred

- Industrial electrical experience preferred, but not required

- Heavy equipment maintenance experience helps

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
