What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Services Coordinator position at DC Rape Crisis Center?
SUMMARY: The DC Rape Crisis Center provides crisis, individual and group counseling, to survivors of sexual assault and child sexual abuse. The Clinical Services Coordinator (CSC) is an integral employee of the clinical department. CSC is responsible for coordinating all client services for the clinical department facilitating intakes for clinical services, and providing short-term counseling for clients . The CSC must approach the work with a trauma-informed lens and an emphasis on client care. The CSC will be responsible for providing rapid and effective support to all clients.
REPORTING/AUTHORITY: The Clinical Services Coordinator is supervised by the Clinical Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains a caseload of crisis and individual counseling clients, and facilitates groups for survivors.
- Serves as a hotline advocate and provide backup when needed
- Serves as the internal and external point of contact for all inquiries related to clinical services and the Clinical Department.
- Coordinates daily operations and activities of the Clinical Department including scheduling and facilitating intakes and assessments
- Creates and develops schedules for varied aspects of Clinical services
- Conducts weekly audits of clinical data and assists with quarterly data management for the Clinical Department
- Facilitates presentations to organizations that serve similar populations to ensure the community is aware of our services and treatment options.
- Assists in the development and facilitation of trainings as requested for staff as well as external stakeholders.
- Influences the strategic direction of clinical services, to facilitate appropriate change, and improve processes to increase staff and site productivity
- Maintains operational policies and procedural manuals.
- Ensures full compliance with regulatory agency requirements. Identifies opportunities for quality improvement and initiates appropriate referrals.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in social work, Counseling, or MFT and LGSW/LGPC/LGMFT preferred
- Two (2) years of direct experience in the field; and Two (2) years intake or customer service experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Knowledge of sexual trauma and crisis intervention
- Knowledge of community resources and how to access them.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong organizational skills
- Demonstrates initiative and team orientated mentality
- Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Ability to interact with people/groups of widely varying disciplines and backgrounds
- Ability to remain open and receptive to constructive feedback
- Computer literacy and experience with database management systems
- Flexibility to work outside of regular weekly schedule
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Salary commensurate with experience. DC Rape Crisis Center provides employees with a comprehensive benefits package including paid holidays, vacation, sick leave and parental leave, in addition to paid time off during agency’s winter break; flexible schedule; 403b, health insurance contribution and ongoing training.
HOURS: Position is full-time with one possible evening a week in addition to one Friday evening a month.
