DIRECTOR OF ROOMS
Luxury Resort | United States | Relocation Assistance Available
A luxury resort property is seeking a Director of Rooms to lead all rooms division operations —
spanning Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Guest Services. This senior role is for a
polished operator with a proven track record in upper-upscale or luxury environments, ideally with
Marriott brand and systems experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Guest Services
• Develop and execute strategies to optimise occupancy, revenue management, and guest satisfaction
• Establish and enforce operational policies aligned with brand standards and regulatory requirements
• Monitor KPIs — occupancy, guest feedback scores, and departmental budgets — and act on insights
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and other departments to support property-wide performance
goals
• Recruit, develop, and mentor department leaders; build a high-performing, guest-centric team
• Manage divisional budgets, control costs, and ensure efficient resource allocation
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and effectively to drive loyalty and satisfaction
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or equivalent
experience; Master's degree a plus
• Minimum 5 years of progressive rooms division leadership in a hotel or resort environment
• Demonstrated success managing Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Guest
Services
• Strong command of revenue management principles and property management systems
(PMS); familiarity with advanced revenue management and data analytics tools a plus
• Experience in luxury or upper-upscale hotel brands strongly preferred
• Marriott brand and systems experience a significant advantage
• Resort setting and high-volume group experience preferred
• CHA or equivalent hospitality certification a plus
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident (green card holder)
Compensation
• Base salary: $115,000
• Annual performance bonus
• Relocation assistance available
