Job Summary
This position is located in the District of Columbia Board of Elections (BOE), Office of the Executive Director, Election Worker Recruitment and Training Division, whose mission is to enfranchise eligible residents, conduct elections, and assure the integrity of the electoral process as mandated by both federal and local laws. The BOE is expanding its mission to increase civic participation and provide citizens of the District of Columbia with vital information and data for the purpose of enhancing the voter experience.
Given the importance of the Administrative Support position within the Election Worker Recruitment and Training division, individuals occupying this role will be responsible for providing essential support to both trainers and election workers who staff the vote centers throughout the electoral season.
Duties And Responsibilities
Provides assistance with checking in Election Workers who are scheduled for training classes, helping with rescheduling Election Workers who arrive late, provides assistance to any Election Workers interested in becoming registered voters, supports BOE staff and trainers in resolving any issues that arise during training sessions, submitting all Election Worker documents to the Call Center Division for class credit and payroll processing.
Sets up and breaks down each training class, resets all equipment after each training session, makes copies of materials for training classes, use laptop to research Election Workers status, ensures the security of documents and information submitted, assist wit collecting and organizing post-election documents from all Vote Centers and entering critical election information into the database, and assist wit a post-election audit process, including sorting, counting, and manual tabulation for ballots.
Education AND Experience
The candidate must possess a minimum of 6 months of administrative experience, demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, and exhibit the ability to engage effectively with a highly diverse population.

Work Environment
Work is performed in a normal office setting and involves occasional travel to meetings and trainings. There may be occasional walking, standing, bending, stooping, lifting, and moving heavy items.

Collective Bargaining: This position is NOT under a collective bargaining agreement
Tour of Duty: Monday – Friday: 8:15 A.M. – 4:45 P.M. (Some evenings, weekends and holidays are required)
RATE OF PAY: $20.00 PER HOUR
