Manages the branch inside sales team by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead inside sales personnel to achieve branch sales objectives.
  • Act as central point of contact regarding branch sales issues.
  • Interface with other internal departments such as Marketing, Asset, Product, Field Sales, and Human Resources.
  • Attend Branch, Supplier and Customer meetings as appropriate.
  • Stay up to date on new procedures, policies, and system features.
  • Monitor and balance individual Inside Sales personnel workloads.
  • Provide direction and adequate resources for customer support and superior customer service.
  • Establish on-going nurturing relationships with Outside Sales, suppliers and customers.
  • Regular engagement with individuals in the marketplace to establish a network of potential future employees.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises branch inside sales team.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in the following applications: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with sales tracking software such as OPTRAK and Dem ID.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (paperwork, typing, using mouse/keyboard). The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Working Conditions

Position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)
