In addition to front-line student support, the Admissions Specialist will assist with a variety of clerical and administrative duties, helping to keep the Admissions Office organized, efficient, and student-centered.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provides front-line support to students and parents throughout the admissions process, including triaging, explaining the policies and procedures related to transcripts, residency, FERPA, and program requirements.
- Advises students, faculty, and staff on Admissions policies and procedures.
- Accesses, inputs and retrieves data from computer database on a daily basis. Creates and updates/maintains student admissions and educational records in the computer database.
- Handles incoming mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it to Admissions staff. Performs routine administrative duties including drafting correspondence, filing documents, sending faxes and emails, answering phones, and making photocopies to support daily office operations.
- Serves as a liaison between students, academic departments, deans, Information Services department, and other institutions.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Ability to develop and meet goals is required.
- Be able to perform clerical and technical tasks requiring a wide range of procedures.
- Must have strong organizational skills, as well as effective oral and written communication.
Veteran's Preference Information:
This position is eligible for Veterans Preference pursuant to Chapter 295 of Florida Statutes.
