Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children.
- Support children with daily routines such as diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Engage children through play-based learning activities that stimulate creativity, curiosity, and development of essential skills.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following proper sanitation procedures and ensuring all toys and materials are well-organized.
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and any concerns to inform ongoing developmental assessments to Head Teacher.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, respect, and independence among children.
- Assist in classroom material preparation, and maintaining compliance with licensing regulations related to childcare standards.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development to enhance caregiving skills.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, or similar settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; need obtain certification if not already held.
- Prior experience with Brightwheel App is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills coupled with the ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively.
- Familiarity with early childhood education practices and 'Creative Curriculum' implementation.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting toddlers and preschoolers maintaining a safe environment for all children.
