Position Summary: We are seeking a caring and dependable Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our passionate team of educators. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in providing high-quality care and early learning experiences for children ages 3 months to 2 years. This role requires patience, attentiveness, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Responsibilities:
- Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily activities and routines
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
- Engage in age-appropriate play, learning, and caregiving tasks
- Assist with diapering, feeding, napping routines, and maintaining a clean classroom
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff
- Attend staff meetings and professional development as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
- Experience working with infants or toddlers in a childcare setting
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain preferred)
- Ability to pass background checks and health screenings
- All DOH trainings including SIDS and AHT (or willingness to obtain required)
