LIS Analyst, 40 Hours, Full Time, 1st Shift and Laboratory Department

Day Kimball Health is hiring for a LIS Analyst to join our Laboratory Department in Putnam, CT! Schedule: Day Shift (Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation), 40 Hours Per Week Weekends: if applicable LIS Analyst Benefits Summary (20 or more agreed hours)

LIS Analyst Summary: As the LIS Analyst , you will be a vital member of a dynamic team responsible for… LIS Analyst Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for LIS applications, interfaces, and related systems.
• Build, test, maintain, and troubleshoot:
  • LIS instrumentation interfaces
  • Reference laboratory interfaces
  • LIS modules and applications
• Coordinate, test, and implement LIS system upgrades and enhancements.
• Administer and troubleshoot Sunquest LIS and related systems.
• Perform patient billing reconciliation accurately and timely.
• Create and maintain Crystal Reports within the LIS environment.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and user policies.
• Collaborate with vendors, laboratory staff, IT teams, and leadership on projects and system improvements.
• Participate in project planning, implementation, testing, and support activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and technical support.
• Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

LIS Analyst Education and Experience Requirements: Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related clinical field preferred.

Experience

• Background in Sunquest preferred.
• Experience with HIS preferred.
• 1 - 3 years of experience in a LIS support role required. 4 – 6 years of experience preferred.
• 4 - 6 years working in the Information Technology industry, including direct evidentiary talents and responsibilities for supporting laboratory information systems, associated applications and, workstations.

LIS Analyst Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of LIS applications, interfaces, and system support processes.
• Proficiency with Sunquest LIS or similar laboratory information systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and collaboration skills.
• Ability to present technical information, project updates, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize competing responsibilities.
