We’re hiring a Commercial Construction Estimator professional to help drive growth and diversify projects. This is your chance to work with a team that self-performs much of its work, wants to utilize AI-based estimating tools, and tackles everything from box retail (Dollar General, strip malls, car washes) to mini storage, airplane hangars, and even cross-dock shipping facilities. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial Construction Estimator position include:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or estimating with a general contractor, preferably in commercial construction.
- Proven ability to build relationships with developers, real estate companies, municipalities, and county officials.
- Experience estimating projects ranging from $500K to $10M, including self-performed work like paint, drywall, dirt, and concrete.
- Ability to utilize or quickly learn AI-based estimating tools and justify estimates to internal teams.
- Must be confident, technically strong, and capable of producing accurate quantity takeoffs and competitive bids.
- Responsible for building new business through door-to-door outreach, networking, referrals, and social media.
- Hybrid work environment with local travel (up to 180 miles), including pre-bid meetings and team collaboration 1–2 days/week.
- Vehicle allowance, fuel reimbursement, hotel coverage, and per diem provided for travel outside a 60-mile radius.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience, with additional bonus potential based on performance.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including 50% employer-paid health insurance, two weeks of paid vacation, and bonus incentives based on project profitability.
