Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Prepare detailed auto estimates for repairs and maintenance using automotive diagnostics tools and service writing software
- Communicate clearly with customers about recommended services, repair timelines, and costs to ensure transparency and trust
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, auto body repairs, and more
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle inspection findings to enhance customer value and dealership revenue
- Maintain detailed records of all service activities, parts used, and customer interactions for future reference
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive service management and auto estimating procedures
- Extensive mechanic experience with automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and hands-on expertise in vehicle maintenance and repair including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, suspensions, alignments, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body work
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers of all backgrounds
- Strong sales aptitude with experience in upselling automotive services and automobile sales strategies
- Proficiency in auto estimating software and service writing systems to generate accurate repair orders
- Knowledge of auto repair procedures including auto servicing for various makes and models
- Ability to handle cash transactions confidently while maintaining integrity and professionalism
- Familiarity with dealership operations including vehicle inspections, mechanical assessments, and service documentation
