Davidson Nissan has immediate openings for an Experienced Automotive Technician to join our busy service department! We’re looking for an experienced technician who can diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues. Pay Range: $23 - $35, Flat Rate
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide variety of automotive systems, including: suspension, steering, alignment, coolant systems, engine, electrical, and/or transmission.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Perform standard vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
- Continuously learns new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology.
- Keep advisor aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Required Skills:
- Valid New York State Inspectors License or ability to immediately acquire.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, transmission diagnostics, and/or engine performance.
- Problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with appropriate time management.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Driver's License.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous import experience.
- ASE Certifications.

Physical Requirements:
- The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- The ability to occasionally perform repetitive motion tasks such as typing on a computer, writing on documents, using common hand tools.

- The ability to stand for long periods of time.
