Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Cocktail Server to join our upscale Cigar and Cocktail establishment. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, take and serve beverage orders efficiently, and create a memorable experience for our patrons. This role requires excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in nightclub, or hospitality settings is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS. The Cocktail Server will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized service area while ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve cocktails, beverages, and light snacks efficiently while adhering to food safety standards
- Upsell premium drinks and promote specials to enhance sales opportunities
- Handle cash and process payments accurately using POS systems such as OpenTable or cashiering tools
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including bussing tables and sanitation practices
- Ensure guest relations are positive by providing attentive service and addressing any concerns promptly
- Follow all sanitation, food safety, and alcohol service regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or nightlife environments preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and satisfaction
- Ability to upsell beverages effectively to maximize sales opportunities
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar patrons simultaneously
- Basic math skills for cash handling and bill splitting
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and responsible alcohol service regulations
- Experience in or nightclub or bar settings is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; prior host/host or serving experience is beneficial
