Cocktail Server

Job Summary:

The Cocktail Waitress will be responsible to for serving alcoholic beverages, serving food, providing excellent customer service, and keeping bills and tabs organized.  A cocktail waitress needs to be personable, attentive, and able to communicate effectively in order to provide the best service for their customers.

Essential Job Functions:

• Greeting customers, taking orders, and providing attentive service
• Checking identification to ensure customers are of legal age to purchase alcohol
• Serve drinks to customers at slot machines
• Take and prepare drink orders
• Making recommendations based on knowledge of the menu and drink pairings 
• Checking identification to ensure customers are of legal age to purchase alcohol
• Handling multiple guests, multi-tasking, and attending to customer’s needs in a timely manner
• Preparing stock items such as straws, and napkins during opening and closing shifts
• Responsible for taking inventory of supplies and ingredients
• All other duties assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Must be able to obtain Health card, TAM card, and Gaming License
• Multi-tasking and Fast-Paced Environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong organizational and time management skill
• Attending to customer’s needs in a timely manner
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Keeps compliance of all local, state, and federal liquor laws
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust
• Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. In some instances, the entire shift
• Ability to lift at least but not limited to 50 pounds and if more must be with assistance
• Flexibility in the wrist to scoop, twist, push, pull, lift, and bend
• Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects)
• Ability to move quickly turning from left to right or right to left
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping

Education and Required Experience:

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Experience in serving beverages, or restaurant establishment is preferred
• Must be knowledgeable in alcoholic beverages such as cocktails, beer, and wine
