The Role

This full-time, sales-focused position is responsible for driving growth and retention within an assigned direct-to-church territory. This role partners closely with new and existing customers through onboarding, training, and ongoing engagement to optimize customer outcomes, increase retention, and expand product usage.

In a nutshell, this role blends sales, relationship management, and ministry impact—ensuring an exceptional customer experience while achieving consistent sales growth and long-term commitment.

Responsibilities

  • Sales & Retention – Meet or exceed assigned VBS and Resources sales goals and quarterly retention metrics through engagement with assigned customers.
  • Outbound Engagement – Proactively make daily outbound calls and emails (minimum of 55 outbound calls per day) to newly acquired and existing customers to ensure successful adoption and outcomes.
  • Customer Onboarding & Training – Provide structured onboarding, education, and training to support customer success and retention goals.
  • Relationship Management – Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through the buying process and uncovering unmet needs.
  • Cross-Selling & Growth – Identify and execute cross-sell opportunities that enhance the customer experience and increase overall value.
  • CRM & Technology – Accurately document customer interactions and maintain complete, up-to-date records in CRM, order entry, and sales systems.
  • Collaboration – Work closely with outbound sales representatives and other sales team members on shared accounts, providing consistent communication and feedback.
  • Continuous Improvement – Participate in team initiatives, comply with company policies, maintain confidentiality, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of inbound and outbound phone-based sales or call center experience required.
  • 2–3 years of account management experience with a proven history of closing sales and growing existing business.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed sales and productivity goals.
  • Strong CRM experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong active listening.
  • Ability to ask insightful questions, manage time effectively, and solve problems independently.
  • Comfortable wearing a headset and engaging in customer conversations for extended periods (up to 8 hours/day).
  • Ability to sit at a workstation, use a keyboard repetitively, and perform standard office tasks.
  • Knowledge of church ministry is a plus but not required.
