Singles Buying Job Description
As Dave & Adams continues to expand its presence in sports cards and TCG singles across our website and retail locations, we are growing our Buying Team. We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Trading Card Buyer to join our team. This role is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing sports card inventory while staying ahead of market trends to drive profitability and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase sports trading cards, including singles, for resale
- Collaborate with Product Managers to maintain strong inventory levels
- Analyze market trends, sales data, and customer demand to guide buying decisions
- Negotiate pricing and evaluate collections for profitability
- Organize, process, and prepare inventory for retail and online sales
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations to customers
- Resolve escalated customer service issues and build lasting relationships
- Represent the company at trade shows, conventions, and events
- Maintain accurate records using inventory systems and Excel
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of the sports card industry
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel and inventory/POS systems
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Flexibility to work events and varying schedules as needed
