Overview
The TCG Specialist is responsible for supporting all aspects of the store’s trading card singles business, with a primary focus on Pokémon and One Piece. This role involves working closely with customers and internal teams to purchase, organize, merchandise, and maintain the TCG singles inventory. The ideal candidate will have a passion for trading card games and possess strong organizational and customer service skills to ensure a seamless shopping experience and efficient inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, price, and purchase trading card game (TCG) cards from in-store customers.
- Follow and adhere to established buying parameters, purchasing guidelines, and current inventory needs.
- Organize and maintain the TCG singles inventory to ensure easy access and proper presentation.
- Assist customers with inquiries related to TCG products, providing knowledgeable recommendations.
- Merchandise TCG cards effectively within the store to maximize visibility and sales.
- Keep accurate records of transactions, purchases, and inventory levels.
- Stay informed about current trends and values within the Pokémon and One Piece TCG markets to make informed purchasing decisions.
Experience
- Prior experience in trading card games or collectibles is required; enthusiasm for Pokémon, One Piece, or similar TCGs is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers.
- Basic knowledge of pricing strategies and market values for trading cards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
