Job Summary
The Senior Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day administration of Human Resources operations, including payroll coordination, benefits and leave administration, compliance support, employee relations, and HR reporting. This role serves as a key operational resource for employees and leadership, ensuring continuity of HR processes. The scope of this role may evolve over time based on organizational needs, business growth, and HR structure.
Responsibilities
· Coordinate weekly and biweekly payroll processing, including timecard review, approvals, and payroll submissions
· Review and resolve time-clock exceptions, and holiday pay compliance
· Process payroll change forms, commissions, incentives, reimbursements, and adjustments
· Administer wage garnishments
· Prepare payroll-related reports, including overtime tracking and PTO liability
· Audit temporary employee hours and assignment end dates
· Administer employee benefit enrollments, changes, and qualifying life events
· Manage FMLA, PFML, ADA accommodations, and other leave programs in coordination with leadership
· Process COBRA submissions and employee communications
· Support STD/LTD claim escalations and vendor coordination
· Administer 401(k) change forms and assist with payroll/plan file corrections
· Support annual compliance activities, including OSHA logs, labor law postings, EEO-1 reporting, and training compliance
· Coordinate annual hearing tests and safety-related training
· Conduct routine safety audits and participate in safety committee meetings
· Support accident investigations and post-accident drug testing
· Post job openings and screen applicants for open positions
· Conduct phone screenings and coordinate interviews
· Support new hire onboarding, orientation, and 30/60/90-day check-ins
· Draft offer letters and support job description updates
· Administer employee terminations, offboarding, final pay, and equipment collection
· Conduct exit interviews
· Administer unemployment claims and participate in hearings as needed
· Address employee relations matters, including performance concerns, workplace conflicts, and policy interpretation
· Conduct internal investigations related to harassment, safety, and employee conduct, documenting findings and preparing recommendations for leadership review
· Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
· Support internal HR communications, announcements, and employee engagement activities
· Track training compliance and follow up on outstanding requirements
· Maintain emergency contact lists, phone trees, and organizational charts
Qualifications:Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Strong working knowledge of payroll administration, benefits, leave management, and employment law
- Experience supporting compliance initiatives
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy and discretion
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%, including occasional overnight travel
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
