Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Desktop / Technical Support Technician to provide onsite IT support for the Puller Veterans Care Center (PVCC) in Warrenton, VA.
PVCC is a medical facility supporting approximately 200 IT devices, including desktops, laptops, phones, printers, mobile devices, and related networking equipment.
The technician will work closely with DVS IT Management to support the implementation, administration, maintenance, and day-to-day technical operations of the PVCC IT environment. The role will also provide occasional onsite support to remote Veterans Benefits offices in the NOVA and Front Royal areas.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong experience installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Windows operating systems.
Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 / Microsoft 365 environments.
Experience troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware, software, peripherals, and business applications.
Experience supporting Android and Apple mobile devices.
Working knowledge of LAN/WAN environments and networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and wireless access points.
Experience supporting printers, scanners, phones, and other IT peripherals.
Working knowledge of IT security and network security concepts.
Experience with IT ticketing systems, inventory management, and technical documentation.
Experience supporting email applications, Google Workspace, calendars, distribution lists, and PST files.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with IT teams and vendors.
Strong organization and time-management skills.
