Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Consultant to support a large-scale public sector health initiative involving an Immunization Information System. This role requires strong leadership in IT project consulting, business requirements definition, RFP development, and vendor management. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure successful planning, procurement, and quality delivery of enterprise health IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Lead and support the development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in alignment with State IT and procurement guidelines

·       Collaborate with business users and technical teams to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements

·       Provide IT project leadership, governance, and quality assurance across project activities

·       Advise on system architecture, platform migration, and vendor capabilities

·       Support vendor evaluation, selection, contract deliverables, SLAs, and data recovery plans

·       Identify risks, track action items, and ensure timely resolution

·       Ensure defined processes, standards, and quality metrics are followed

·       Mentor and guide internal staff while promoting best practices

·       Communicate project status, risks, and improvement opportunities to stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

·       15 years of overall IT experience

·       Strong experience in IT project consulting and leadership

·       Proven experience developing business requirements for enterprise IT systems

·       Extensive experience with vendor management and procurement processes

·       Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

·       Experience working in public sector or public health IT environments

·       Experience with Immunization Information Systems or public health registries

·       Prior involvement in government or state-level IT RFP processes

·       Knowledge of healthcare or public health information systems

Education:

·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience
