The General Internal Medicine Lyme Clinic is located in a rural area, providing preventative, acute and chronic care to a vulnerable population of those age 18 years and older. The Lyme Clinic is a fast-paced clinic, with over 9,000 visits annually. The team is a growing team with highly sought-after clinicians and care team members to support all patient’s needs. This care team consists of a professional community, working to ensure patient care needs are met: Physicians, nurses, social workers, medical assistants (MA), nursing assistants (LNA), Diabetic Educator, Behavioral Health Clinicians, Dietitian, and secretaries. The leadership team is very much relationship based, and promotes teamwork, collaboration, effective communication, safe and quality patient care, and a positive environment for all staff and patients. Together this team strongly encourages staff to work at the top of their license scope, providing personal connection and promoting continuity of care to patients and their loved ones close to the patient’s home.  The clinic provides comprehensive care, from vaccines and blood work, to a physical or acute exam while open Monday through Friday 0800-1700, and Saturday Clinic 0800-1200 at General Internal Medicine Clinic at the main hospital. This allows for the staffing team to have consistency with their schedule, promote a positive work/life balance, and maximize their time outside of work as well.
