Overview
This role is part of the Health Information Services Department, a shared service of the Dartmouth Health health system that centers on the patient’s health (medical) record. The HIM Analyst is responsible for ensuring provider documentation is timely and accurately completed in compliance with regulations and organizational guidelines. The HIM Analyst facilitates chart corrections and assists with maintaining the electronic Master Patient Index (eMPI).

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with all aspects of medical records, including electronic medical records, preferred. Experience with Epic EMR desired.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and/or coding preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal).
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work as a team and use sound judgment in decision-making
