Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Support of garnishment processing and inquires:
- Coordinate garnishment processing and partner with ADP to oversee system interfaces and ensure accurate data flow.
- Effectively communicate with attorneys, courts and applicable agencies to resolve garnishment inquiries.
- Partner with Darden’s internal legal team to seek guidance and escalate potential judgements for resolution. Ensure prompt resolution of garnishment inquiries by providing clear, accurate information and maintaining complete and well-documented records of all pertinent details.
- Analyze and review checks received to determine appropriate course of action.
- Monitor federal and state garnishment laws and update applicable tables to ensure compliance.
- Resolve payroll system garnishment calculation errors and independently perform manual calculations to ensure accurate and compliant withholding.
- Partner with Payroll Processing Coordinator to issue garnishment refunds
- Provide clear education and guidance regarding garnishment processing to all parties seeking understanding.
- Balance weekly ADP disbursement wires.

- Strong knowledge of legal terminology
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze legal documents

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Consistent attendance in alignment with company standards
- Demonstrated ability to interpret garnishment orders and perform accurate manual calculations of disposable earnings and garnishment deductions
- Ability to utilize Oracle, Discover, Vista Plus and PeopleSoft Query programs
- Associate’s degree preferred
- 5 years of payroll experience
- 2 years of experience in garnishment administration or working with legal documents
