Roles And Responsibilities

This position operates as a frontline advisor, supporting compliance initiatives under the guidance of senior attorneys while developing subject matter expertise across key compliance areas.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day legal guidance to managers and operations partners on compliance with employment laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies
- Proactively supports the interpretation and implementation of new and emerging compliance obligations, including state and local requirements
- Supports responses to government inquiries, audits, and regulatory matters in coordination with senior counsel
- Conducts or supports internal investigations related to employee complaints, policy violations, and other compliance matters
- Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and training programs
- Supports cross-functional compliance initiatives and projects to advance company-wide compliance objectives
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of corporate privacy policies, procedures, and related processes
- Translates legal requirements into clear, practical guidance for restaurant operators and functional partners
- Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school
- 3-5 years of law firm or in-house experience providing guidance on compliance, employment law, privacy, or related matters
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing under the Bar of any state that enables admission to practice as in-house counsel in Florida
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal clients and cross-functional partners
- Exercises sound judgment in identifying, analyzing, and escalating legal and compliance issues as appropriate
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and practical manner
- Certified compliance or privacy professional a plus
- Experience supporting multi-state employers or operations
- Experience in retail and hospitality industries
- Experience in leading cross functional teams
- Exposure to internal investigations and/or workplace compliance matters
