Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility, ensuring they receive the attention and support they need while staying with us. Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding and exercising.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kennel areas to ensure a safe environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their animals’ needs and behaviors.
- Support training initiatives by working with dogs on basic commands and socialization.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred (kennel experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with dog training techniques and veterinary practices is highly desirable.
- Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is an advantage.
- Strong skills in customer service and communication.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds).
- Knowledge of pet grooming techniques is beneficial.
