Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, offering recommendations and upselling where appropriate to enhance the dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery of orders to guests
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation in accordance with food safety regulations
- Manage guest needs throughout their visit by checking on tables, handling special requests, and resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Assist with food handling, preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to maintain seamless service flow
- Process payments accurately through cash handling or cashiering systems like OpenTable, ensuring proper math calculations and receipt issuance
- Uphold sanitation standards by maintaining cleanliness of dining areas, utensils, and service stations in compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse customer needs confidently
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques would be a plus.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing purposes accurately
- Previous experience in serving, bussing, host/host roles, or food industry positions is highly desirable
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required in a fast-paced hospitality environment
