Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages accurately and efficiently, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic options.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Manage POS systems such as Toast POS for order processing, billing, and cash handling with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and health regulations.
- Monitor guest intoxication levels responsibly and intervene as necessary to ensure safety.
- Restock bar supplies, garnishes, and beverages regularly to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and perform basic math calculations for change and totals.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during events like banquets or catering to coordinate food and beverage service seamlessly.
- Uphold high standards of food handling, safety procedures, and responsible serving practices at all times.
- Assist in training new team members on proper serving techniques, POS operation, and customer service protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly preferred but we will train the right person.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS is essential.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol serving practices but we will train the right person.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tables or bar stations efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability in time management and multitasking within fast-paced environments.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding for sales transactions, and accurate billing.
- Experience in food handling, brewing knowledge, catering support, or retail math is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events as needed.
