Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join our team as a Busser and Host on beautiful Sanibel Island. Our Dantes and Island Time Bar and Grill are looking for a reliable friendly person that will be the welcoming face of our establishment, ensuring guests have an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive. You will coordinate food delivery from the kitchen to tables, assist with table settings and guest seating, and maintain a clean and inviting environment. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help create a lively, hospitable atmosphere that keeps guests engaged and satisfied throughout their visit.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Escort guests to their tables, assist with seating arrangements, and manage waitlists efficiently
- Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to tables while ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
- Clear tables of used dishes, utensils, and glassware, maintaining cleanliness throughout service
- Assist with bussing tables and cleaning dining areas to uphold high standards of sanitation and organization
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests or dietary needs
- Support catering events or large parties by coordinating food service and guest flow as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments is highly preferred but will train.
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests, team members, and management
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety standards in the food industry would be a plus.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with cleaning, bussing, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas or kitchens is advantageous
- Knowledge of restaurant operations or hotel service environments is a plus
- A positive attitude and eagerness to provide exceptional customer service are essential for success in this role
